Michelle Fee co-founded Friendship Travel, a full-service travel agency, in 1981 with friend Lynn Korn. After several successful years in business, Michelle and Lynn joined forces with industry veteran Marvin Davis to co-found Cruise Planners in 1994. What started out as a small business with only five students in the first training class has now grown into the nation's largest home-based travel agent franchise network in the cruise industry with more than 700 franchise owners across the nation.
Under Michelle's leadership, Cruise Planners/American Express has been named No.1 Cruise Tour / Travel Agency by Entrepreneur magazine for the past nine years. Cruise Planners positions franchise owners for success by providing them with innovative marketing, booking and lead-generating tools as well as professional development and hands-on training with the industry's top executives.
Headquartered in Coral Springs, Fla., Cruise Planners has achieved top producer status with every major cruise line. Accolades include Agency of the Year from American Express (2010), Royal Caribbean International Home-Based Partner of the Year (2007 - 2011), Norwegian Cruise Line Home-Based Agency of the Year (2010) and Franchise Agency of the Year (2011), four coveted Magellan Awards from Travel Weekly in 2010, American Express Travel Representative Excellence Awards (2004 - 2011), Best of the Best Globe Award from American Express Vacations (2008 - 2011), Globus Family of Brands Premier Agency Partner (2009, 2010), Platinum Circle Member with Viking River Cruises (2009, 2010), and Regent Seven Seas Cruises Top Producer.

In 2003, Michelle was named one of Travel Agent magazine's most "Powerful Women in Travel," and in 2006, named "Travel Agent of the Year" by Travel Trade magazine. In 2009, Michelle was also honored as one of the "Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds" in sales and marketing by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), and in 2010, was also named one of the "Top 25 Most Influential Business Women" by the South Florida Business Journal. In addition, Michelle has successfully completed the educational requirements and professional criteria to become a Certified Travel Counselor, the highest standard of achievement in the travel industry.
